SEATON - DOWNDERRY RAFTRACE & BOARD PADDLE 2010
With the help of the RNLI and the British Surfing Association the South East Cornwall surf club will host this year's race starting at Seaton beach. You can register your craft and crewe at Coast Country on the A38 nr Liskeard to save time on the day. This is a real community event and a chance for all the local villages to have some friendly rivalry. Everyone is welcome to come along to join in or cheer on the rafters and enjoy a BBQ music and bonfire on the beach. Last year's event was a great success with a massive 20 raft turn out. The now popular board paddle for the more experienced not to mention competitive surfer, 18+ only. Once again sponsored by the Seaton beach cafe with a whopping £50.00 prize budget. Categories are:
Board Paddle - Men's Open (£25) - Ladies' Open (£25)
The Inn on the Shore at Downderry will be sponsoring the Raft race with cash prizes to be split between the competitors.
Raft Race - 1st - 2nd - 3rd * Best Fancy Dress * Most Radical Raft * Last raft home

- Compulsory 16's and under to wear lifejackets.
